Attorney General James Uthmeier Announces Charges Against Central Florida Woman for Creating and Sending Child Sexual Abuse Material to Federal Inmate
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Attorney General James Uthmeier announced that the Office of Statewide Prosecution charged Taylor Michelle Dorsey, 33, of Ocoee, with eight felony counts related to sexual abuse of a child over 12, as well as creating and distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
“The details in this case are gut-wrenching, and there is zero place for this kind of vile behavior in Florida,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “I am confident in our statewide prosecutors’ ability to fight for the maximum penalty that fits these heinous crimes against children”
This investigation was carried out by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement following a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip was generated from a report from Yahoo that Dorsey had uploaded multiple CSAM files.
The investigation uncovered that Dorsey had sexually abused the victim, produced the pornographic materials, and actively shared them with an inmate in federal prison serving time for sexual abuse on a child and possession of child pornography.
On December 10, 2025, a search warrant was executed at Dorsey’s residence, and she was arrested on the scene.
The defendant is charged as follows:
- Promote Sexual Performance of a Child
- Lewd and Lascivious Molestation
- Child Abuse
- Child Neglect
- Possession of Child Pornography – 4 Counts
Dorsey is currently held in the Orange County Jail without bond. The investigation is ongoing and more charges could be announced at a later date.
This case will be prosecuted in the Ninth Judicial Circuit by Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Lauryn Day.
