Attorney General James Uthmeier Announces Arrest of Fentanyl Trafficker, Seizure of Narcotics in Palm Beach, Broward Counties
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Attorney General James Uthmeier’s Office of Statewide Prosecution is charging Raymond Pine of West Palm Beach with two felony counts of trafficking in fentanyl (over 28 grams or more). Mr. Pine was arrested Wednesday by the Broward Sheriff’s Office and assisting agencies during a cocaine sale.
“Florida law enforcement continues to crack down heavily on the dangerous fentanyl in our communities,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “Mr. Pine pushed out enough fentanyl to kill entire neighborhoods, and our Statewide Prosecutors will make sure he stays behind bars for a long time. If you traffic this poison in Florida, we’re coming for you.”
The Broward Sheriff’s Office Gang Investigations Task Force began their undercover investigation into Pine in April 2025. Throughout the investigation, Raymond Pine sold more than 750 grams of fentanyl to undercover officers. Investigators learned that Pine was storing narcotics in two residences, one in West Palm Beach and the other in Boynton Beach. The following drugs were recovered:
- At the time of the arrest:
- Approximately 1,096 grams of Cocaine
- West Palm Beach residence:
- 718 grams of Fentanyl
- 947 grams of Heroin
- 245 grams of MDMA
- 14.5 grams of Xanax
- 9 grams of Oxycodone
- 7.5 grams of Cocaine
- 955 grams of Cannabis
- Boynton Beach residence:
- 2,881 grams of Cannabis
- 28 grams of Fentanyl
Raymond Pine is currently held at the Broward County Jail without bond, pending transport to Palm Beach County for prosecution. Both counts carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years, and Mr. Pine faces a maximum sentence of 60 years if convicted.
