Foreclosures

If the State of Florida is named as a defendant in a foreclosure action, the oag.foreclose.eserve@myfloridalegal.com email address may be used to serve any papers and pleadings filed in a foreclosure action, after service of initial process, where the State of Florida is named as a party.

This email address is only to be used after appropriate service of process against the state has been perfected by both serving the state attorney or assistant state attorney for the judicial circuit in which the action is brought and by sending two copies of the process by registered or certified mail to the Attorney General. §48.121, Fla. Stat. (2012).

The Attorney General’s Office has established the oag.foreclose.eserve@myfloridalegal.com email address to be used for the designated purposes in complying with Florida state court eservice requirements, pursuant to Rule 2.516, Florida Rules of Judicial Administration. This email address is not to be used when the assistant attorney general who has appeared in the case has designated another email address to be used to e-serve documents in a particular case. Rather, the email address is to be used to e-serve the Attorney General’s Office with papers under limited circumstances, as described.
