Information Technology

Information Technology is a division level organization within the Department of Legal Affairs (Office of the Attorney General). The Information Technology Director also serves as the Chief Information Officer.

The Information Technology Division is comprised of 37 staff that supports the entire technology infrastructure for approximately 1300 employees statewide. The Information Technology Division strives to provide the most secure, reliable, responsive, and cost effective delivery of technology services possible, in support of the Attorney General’s initiatives and the operational functions of the agency.

The areas of support provided by Information Technology (IT) are:

Help Desk and User Support

The staff provides end-user support of desktop hardware and software to approximately 1300 employees statewide. Responsibilities include Help Desk response, IT hardware and software asset management, PC/laptop support and replacement, configuration and procurement assistance.

Infrastructure and Operations

The staff provides technical support for the statewide network and server infrastructure, file and print services, application and web servers, e-mail, imaging and document management, remote access and mobile devices, video-conferencing, and security.

Application Development

The staff develops and maintains custom applications, providing functionality such as workflow and collaboration, administrative and financial systems, legal case management, complaint and correspondence tracking, victim claim processing, web content management, and web-based consumer services. End user training and support for custom applications and Lotus Notes is also provided.

Litigation Support Center

The staff provides agency wide graphic design and creation of exhibits as well as technical assistance and end-user training for electronic filing and ADA compliance, Adobe, Microsoft Office, trial presentation software/hardware, scanning, and video conferencing. eDiscovery assistance is also available for document, audio and video conversions and technical consultation on large projects. Graphics services also include agency brochures, publications and website graphics.
