Tips for Consumers Affected by Closing of Alfred Angelo Bridal Stores

On July 14, 2017, national retailer Alfred Angelo filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and closed its Delray Beach, Florida headquarters and 61 stores across the country. Information for consumers affected by Alfred Angelo’s closing is provided below.

Dresses and accessories order status

Dresses and accessories to be liquidated to pay creditors

Please be aware, the Chapter 7 Trustee has advised “to the extent any order has not been fully delivered to a customer, it shall have to remain unfilled.”

Consumers whose dresses and accessories were not delivered to retailers will not be receiving their goods. The dresses and accessories will be liquidated to pay creditors.

Filing a proof of claim.

When a company files for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, consumers may want to file a creditor claim for goods or services they have purchased, but not received. Proof of claim forms in this matter must be electronically filed. The proof of claim form and instructions on electronic filing follow below.
