Process for Handling Government Claims
All government claims and funding requests must be submitted to BP. The claim form and document checklists, and additional information, including a “Government Claims Fact Sheet,” are available at: www.bp.com/governmentclaims.
Government Claims
1. Request a claim/funding request number before completing a claim form. The easiest way to do so is by filling out the "Government Claims Form" online.
2. Download the "Claims Form & Documentation Checklists" and the Excel Spreadsheets entitled “Document Process Workbook for Government Claims” to assist you in completing the document checklists. Also available online are examples of supporting documentation entitled "Claims Documentation Examples".
3. Submit the claim form and supporting documentation by any of the following methods:

4. If you are not satisfied with the GCCF's resolution of your claim, if your claim has been denied, or if your claim has been pending for more than 90 days, you may wish to contact or file a claim with the National Pollution Funds Center at 1-800-280-7118 or through their website: www.uscg.mil/npfc/claims.
