Our primary focus is the forensic examination of and the evidence collection from the adult victims of sexual assault. Counseling and therapy are also offered to adult victims; victims age 18 and under are referred to the Child Protection Team. We assist the Office of the State Attorney by giving depositions and testimony in prosecuting cases of rape. Gathered forensic evidence is secured and given to law enforcement. "State Certified".

The Arcadia Police Department has combined resources with DeSoto County Sheriff's Office to provide assistance for victims of crime in DeSoto County. The primary goal is to provide guidance and support as victims maneuver through the difficult process of coping with the aftermath of a crime. The program attempts to minimize the frustrations within the criminal justice process through referrals and support, providing services that are selected to meet each individual's circumstances.

Senior Solutions plans, promotes and coordinates a network of specialized services designed for people over the age of 60. We advocate for innovative elder care. We are an Area Agency on Aging with valuable experience in administration, service planning and financial management. We are sponsored by the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs.

Provides assistance with accessing services in the community, emotional support, and on-going service coordination by a Crime Intervention Specialist and trained volunteers.

Provides direct services and information to all elderly (60+) victims of crime, including transportation to court related appointments.

Avalon's VOCA program offers counseling, support and advocacy to all victims of crime with emphasis on victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and sexual abuse.

Program provides the initial contact/outreach to victims of crime (violent or crimes against person) for those within Aventura jurisdiction. Initial contact may involve crisis counseling, information/referral, safety planning, transportation, assessing resources, and any number of other immediately needed services. Follow-up contacts may be conducted.

Provides assistance/advocacy to crime victims within the City of Bartow.

Provides emergency legal services for victims of domestic violence and elder abuse.

The Victim Advocate Program provides immediate response to the scene of serious crimes. The advocate provides direct attention to the victims or to the next of kin in homicide cases. Assistance with basic needs is provided, including crisis intervention and current case information. The advocate accompanies battery and abuse victims to the medical exam, as needed. Providing information and referral to appropriate community resources and promoting community awareness are also important components of this program.

In-home and office-based mental health therapy and support services for children, adolescents, adults, and families affected by crime or trauma.

The purpose of the program is to assist the survivors of homicide.

Provides education to parents referred by DCF and judges with open dependency cases and any parent who desires training. Parents learn alternative methods of parenting, without the use of abuse or corporal punishment. Mandated divorce seminars are also offered.

Provides grief support groups for adults and children. Program also provides short term individual counseling.

Follow up contact to victim of crime to provide supportive assistance, crisis intervention, referral, advocacy, safety planning, and education.

VOCA funded victim advocate who responds to all victims of violence, with follow-up for victims of all crimes for referral crisis counseling, victim's compensation and all victim related issues.

The primary service offered to victims is in the form of restitution for property/personal damage due to an accident, battery, and/or worthless check issuance. The probation department only works with victims of defendants placed on probation.

Provide individual and group counseling to child and adult victims of sexual assault/abuse and their non-offending family members.
