| The Child Protection Team (CPT) program is a multidisciplinary program that works with local law enforcement and the Department of Children and Family Services in cases of suspected child abuse and neglect to supplement investigation activities. CPT provides expertise in evaluating alleged maltreatments of abuse and neglect, assessing risk factors, and providing recommendations for interventions to protect children. The Team is comprised of pediatricians, nurse practitioners and social workers, who conduct medical examinations, specialized/forensic interviews and provide expert witness court testimony. |
