Program provides the initial contact/outreach to victims of crime (violent or crimes against person) for those within Aventura jurisdiction. Initial contact may involve crisis counseling, information/referral, safety planning, transportation, assessing resources, and any number of other immediately needed services. Follow-up contacts may be conducted.
Center for Independent Living of South Florida
We offer independent living skills training; educational services; job placement; job readiness skills; peer support; information technology training; housing assistance; sign language instruction; information and referral; self and systems advocacy; one-on-one micro enterprise development; access to computers for banking, registering for services, paying bills, and using the internet; and disability rights education for any person of any age with a disability.

The 24 hour hotline provides crisis intervention, as well as information and referral for anyone concerned about child abuse.
Children's Home Society, SE Division
Provides services to children who have been abused, abandoned and neglected and their families. Offer emergency shelter, foster care, long term residential care for children, as well as adoptive services and assistance for families affected by AIDS. Also provide visitation services for dependency, domestic violence and family law cases.
Clearinghouse on Disability Information
This is a toll-free system that provides information and referral for all individuals with disabilities, family members, professionals assisting individuals with disabilities and the public. Information and referral is available for all disability related services, programs, assistance and resources, as well as generic services that individuals with disabilities and their families may need. This system is intended to ease the complexity often associated with learning about the required processes to access the assistance and services needed by those with disabilities and their families.
Coordinated Victim Assistance Center (CVAC)
Provides assistance to innocent victims of crime in Miami-Dade. The primary goal is to return victims to their pre trauma level of function.

Provides a full range of victim services for victims of crime within the Coral Gables police jurisdiction.
Department of Children and Families
Hotline counselors answer calls related to child and adult abuse, neglect and exploitation to determine whether an investigation should be initiated.
Family Counseling of Greater Miami/The Journey Institute
The Journey Institute provides neighborhood-based group treatment for families of & survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Services are provided for children, adolescents and non-offending caregivers in several communities within the Miami-Dade area.
Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence
This program is an electronic prompt which refers the caller to the nearest domestic violence center. Callers should press number - 1.
Florida Council Against Sexual Violence
FCASV is a statewide, member organization representing the needs of sexual violence survivors and those who serve them, through an information and referral hotline, public awareness campaigns, training, technical assistance, publications, an annual conference, and public policy advocacy.
Florida Department of Corrections
Our office notifies victims, concerned citizens, and criminal justice officials of the release of an offender; provides free 24-hour automated VINE Service ("Victim Information and Notification Everyday") to notify registered users of offender status changes; Assists in recovery of restitution; Provides crisis intervention; Accompanies victims and/or victims' next-of-kin to parole hearings and executions; Administers victim-related inmate rehabilitation; Provides information and referral services. Also intercedes on behalf of only the legal victim(s) in cases of unwanted letters, phone calls or any other offender contact to the victim.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)
The FDLE, MEPIC was created in 1983 to collect, store and disseminate information concerning missing children in the state of Florida. The MEPIC contributes valuable assistance to law enforcement by providing analytical and investigative support in the processing of leads associated with missing persons cases.

Provides information regarding registered sexual offenders and predators to local law enforcement and citizens for the purpose of community notification and public safety.

Program attempts to ensure that victims of parole eligible inmates, or conditional release inmates, are aware of their rights as victims.
Guardian Ad Litem, 11th Judicial Circuit
Provides representation through the criminal justice system for child victims between the ages of 0 to 18, who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.
Haitian Neighborhood Center/Sant-La
Sant La's purpose is to empower, strengthen and stabilize the Haitian-American community of south Florida through the coordination of service delivery in the areas of social services, education, economic self-sufficiency and access to health care.
Home Safe
Specialized Therapeutic Group Care services provide a therapeutic community-based group home for adolescents ages 13-17 with serious emotional disturbance(s) and behavioral issues. Services are appropriate for youth who are ready to step down from a Residential Treatment Program or those who require more intensive treatment to avoid placement in a more restrictive setting.

Provides services to victims through court accompaniments, counseling, financial assistance and by providing transportation.
Jewish Community Service of Greater Miami
Provides information and referral, case management, home visits and installation of security devices to all victims of crime who are disabled or over 60 throughout the county.
Kristi House, Inc.
Provides services to children during investigation of sexual abuse cases to decrease the trauma of the incident and accompanies the investigation and prosecution of the cases, as needed in the Miami area.
Legal Aid Society
Provides legal services, without fee, to victims of domestic violence who have obtained a temporary Injunction for Protection. Project provides representation for victims in court at the Permanent Injunction hearing.

Social Work Division
Provides group and individual counseling for children and mother of domestic violence.
Miami-Dade Advocate for Victims Program
While all victims of violent crime are eligible for assistance, the majority of services involve providing safe shelter to victims of domestic violence. "State Certified."
North and South Dade Victim Center
The programs, Shelter Services and Outreach Services, provide crisis intervention and assistance to victims of violent crime and domestic violence. The goal of these programs is to help lessen physical and emotional stress by providing victims of violence with a support system, and a full range of social services.
Shelter Services
Staff the 24 hour State Spanish and Creole crisis hotlines in addition to the local crisis hotline; provide emergency intervention for abused women and their dependent children that include the following: Safe shelter, crisis counseling, information and referral, emergency food and clothing, advocacy and support, individual and group counseling, transportation, emergency financial assistance, child care, and child enrichment program.
Outreach Services
The Outreach Services component provides emergency services to victims of violent crimes that have occurred in Miami-Dade County. Additionally, domestic violence assistance is provided to victims on an outreach basis. The services provided through the outreach component are: crisis intervention, information and referral, transportation, emergency financial assistance, counseling, and filing for Victim Compensation Claims including Domestic Violence Relocation Assistance from the Office of the Attorney General.

Provides support to students who have been affected by trauma.
