Seminole County Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced that a Seminole County man has been taken into custody on charges of child pornography possession. Adesh Baldath was arrested today by law enforcement officers with the Attorney General’s CyberCrime Unit after investigators discovered Baldath’s possession of images of child pornography. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrest.

CyberCrime investigators discovered images of child pornography during a routine undercover operation and traced the images back to Baldath’s computer. A search warrant was executed this morning at his Longwood home and computer equipment was seized, which will undergo additional forensic analysis to identify any additional images of child pornography. Baldath admitted to possessing the images located during the investigation, one of which was a video of a child appearing to be no older than five years of age.

Baldath, 34, will be charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony which will be enhanced to a second-degree felony under the CyberCrimes Against Children Act. Additional charges could be added at a later date. He is currently being held at the Seminole County Jail.
