“It is an honor to host the kick-off of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, benefitting the Special Olympics,” stated Attorney General Pam Bondi. “The Special Olympics is a wonderful organization that brings athletes, families and communities together to celebrate the annual competitive games for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.”
More than 5,000 members of the law enforcement community will carry the torch to the opening ceremonies at the Annual Florida State Summer Games. This year’s games will take place May 17 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista. In Florida, more than 16,000 athletes participate in Special Olympics activities throughout our state.
