Attorney General to Address Inaugural Forum for Florida Women
~ Conference for Women will host ReWork Career Fair with current job openings, networking tips and career advice ~
TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today joined the Florida Conference for Women in announcing the ReWork Career Fair as part of the Conference’s partnership with Women For Hire. The career fair will be part of the inaugural conference slated to be held tomorrow, May 12, in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center. The fair will be open to the public.
“This groundbreaking conference will provide women with an unparalleled forum to network, learn new skills and workplace strategies, and discover new goals,” said Attorney General McCollum, who will address the conference attendees during a luncheon. “I look forward to speaking with Florida's women who will be present to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.”
Led by Women For Hire CEO Tory Johnson, the workplace contributor on ABC's Good Morning America, the career fair will feature local and national employers and recruiters who have current employment opportunities in Florida. Participating employers include Lowe’s, AFLAC, Prudential Insurance, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and many others. During the fair, attendees will have access to power sessions on social network skills, conducting a successful job search and interview tips. Experts will also be on site for resume critiques.
In addition to the ReWork Career Fair, the Conference will feature internationally recognized speakers who will share their experiences and vision on issues such as business, finance, health, philanthropy and personal growth, among others.
