Attorney General's Office Prosecutes Orlando Woman for Identity Theft
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.–Attorney General Pam Bondi today announced that her Office of Statewide Prosecution has successfully prosecuted Arial Morris, 30, of Orlando. Morris pled guilty to charges relating to identity theft. Specifically, she pled guilty to criminal use of personal identification information of 20 or more victims, a first-degree felony, conspiracy to commit personal use of personal identification information of 20 or more victims, and organized fraud, both second-degree felonies. The personal information obtained by Morris was used to make withdrawals from banks and also to make purchases from a host of retail stores throughout Central Florida.
Morris was sentenced to 20 years in prison, a judgment for restitution and prosecution costs.
