TALLAHASSEE, Fla.–Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and the 25 other states challenging the federal health care act today filed a reply brief with the United States Supreme Court on the issue of severability. The reply brief reaffirms the states’ position that if the Court declares the individual mandate unconstitutional, it must strike down the entire health care law.
“The individual mandate is at the heart of the federal health care law; if the mandate is unconstitutional, the entire act must be invalidated,” stated Attorney General Pam Bondi.
