Orange County Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced an Orange County man has been taken into custody and will be charged with possession of child pornography. John Earl Huntt, 53, was arrested by law enforcement with the Attorney General’s CyberCrime Unit after investigators discovered Huntt had multiple images of child pornography in his possession. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Winter Springs Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigations with the arrest.

CyberCrime investigators located images of child pornography during a routine investigation and traced the images back to Huntt’s computer. A search warrant was executed at his Orlando home where three computers and digital evidence were seized. The items removed from the home will undergo forensic analysis to identify any additional images of child pornography. An initial review of his computer revealed multiple images of child pornography including some of children as young as five years old.

Huntt will be booked into the Orange County Jail and will be charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony. The agencies involved are members of the Central Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
