TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Attorney General Pam Bondi today announced that House of Representatives Speaker Will Weatherford has appointed Representative Jeanette Nunez to the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking. The Council includes law enforcement officers, prosecutors, legislators, and experts in the fields of health, education and social services. The Council was created through legislation passed and signed into law earlier this year.
“I am delighted to have been appointed to the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking. With this appointment, I hope to build upon the achievements of my colleagues to ensure that human trafficking victims do not stay invisible. Human trafficking is a force that permeates our society, and I believe that with this Council, we can together tackle this issue to combat this inhumane crime at a state and local level. I look forward to working with Attorney General Bondi and the 15-member board of the Council on Human Trafficking.”
