Former FAMU Admissions Officer Sentenced for Bribery
Following an FDLE investigation, authorities arrested Ulee in November 2016 for accepting bribes in exchange for admitting students. These students either did not qualify for admission or needed to go to a summer program as a condition of admission, but in exchange for direct payments, Ulee struck such requirements.
Ulee pled no contest to two counts of bribery and one count of official misconduct. The Honorable James C. Hankinson, Circuit Judge for the Second Judicial Circuit, sentenced Ulee to five years of probation with a special condition of 60 days in Leon County Jail and 300 community service hours.
Attorney General Bondi’s Office of Statewide Prosecution prosecuted this case.
