Tallahassee, Fla.—Today Attorney General Pam Bondi released the following statement on Governor Scott testifying before the U.S. Congress Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade, chaired by Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack.
“Governor Scott’s testimony this morning emphasizes the importance of tackling the prescription drug abuse epidemic on a national scale. Our federal leaders recognize the need for federal legislation to protect Americans, and with ‘The Pill Mill Crackdown Act of 2011,’ brought forth by Congressman Buchanan, we can ensure that we combat this crisis at every level of government,” stated Attorney General Pam Bondi. “Just this week, the Florida Legislature advanced legislation providing us with the tools we need to stop pill mills.”
