TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office arrested Chazmand A. Moore for one count of Medicaid fraud and one count of grand theft for submitting more than $9,500 in fraudulent service logs to the Medicaid program. If convicted on both counts, he could receive up to 10 years in prison, $10,000 in court fines, and a mandatory fine equal to five times the amount of the Medicaid fraud.
“We will not allow unscrupulous individuals to defraud the Medicaid program. Fraudulent billing is one of the most common forms of Medicaid fraud, and we are dedicated to investigating and arresting anyone who commits this crime,” stated Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Moore, a Brevard County resident, was employed by A1 Community Choice Home Health Care and GECS of Florida Inc. This case will be prosecuted by the Brevard County State Attorney’s Office.
