TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today issued the following statement on the unexpected passing of Claudine Ryce, the mother of Jimmy Ryce and a pioneer in the efforts to help locate missing children:

“It was certainly sad news to learn of the passing of Claudine Ryce, a woman who will forever be remembered for her compassion and resolve in the face of tragedy and her tireless efforts on behalf of missing children. There is no doubt Claudine made a significant difference on behalf of our children and their families, and with her death Florida has lost an exceptional woman.”
