Update: New Arrests in Multiagency Meth Trafficking Investigation

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Attorney General Pam Bondi’s Office of Statewide Prosecution announced additional arrests in connection to a 2015 multiagency investigation into a methamphetamine trafficking ring. Daniel Tavira Santander, 35, and three others were arrested for allegedly distributing large amounts of meth in the Polk County area.

In 2015, authorities arrested Santander and more than 20 others related to a massive drug trafficking ring following a joint investigation by Attorney General Bondi’s Office of Statewide Prosecution and local and state law enforcement partners.

As part of the follow-up investigation, authorities seized 32 pounds of meth, $5,000 in U.S. currency, two firearms and marijuana.

In addition to the re-arrest of Santander, who was previously on bail, the following three defendants were arrested in connection to this case:
    Jackie Cruey, 35;
    Joseph Cruey, 34; and
    Juan Mendoza-Tavira, 31.
