TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –Attorney General Pam Bondi issued the following statement on the signing of Senate Bill 146 that separates occupational licensing requirements from civil rights restoration.
“Felons who have served their sentences deserve a chance to become productive members of society, and this legislation will help felons enter the workforce while protecting the public,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi. “By separating the restoration of civil rights from the licensing process, we ensure that licenses are issued by the appropriate authority based on an individualized vetting process.”
