TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –Attorney General Pam Bondi released the following statement on the Florida
Prosecuting Attorneys Association's policy pertaining to the release of information in criminal discovery
demands for materials received regarding the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program under Chapter 893.055,
"I applaud our state attorneys for taking this common sense step to prevent criminal defense attorneys from compromising the confidentiality of Floridians' prescription records. The PDMP will help us save lives, and it's important that Floridians understand that the law enforcement community respects the laws that protect their privacy."
