TALLAHASSEE—Attorney General Pam Bondi commends the Florida Senate for today’s final passage of Senate Bill 146/House Bill 449, separating the restoration of civil rights from the evaluation of occupational license applications. The legislation was sponsored by Senator Chris Smith and Representatives Dwayne Taylor and Darryl Rouson. The bill will now go to the Governor.
“I thank Sen. Smith, Reps. Taylor and Rouson, and the Florida Legislature for passing this important legislation,” stated Attorney General Bondi. “Senate Bill 146 will both help felons reintegrate into society and enhance public safety.”
