TALLAHASSEE, Fla.–Attorney General Pam Bondi encourages Floridians to participate in National Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at locations throughout the state. This event provides a safe way to dispose of unnecessary prescription medications.
“The majority of prescription drug abusers get their pills from friends and family,” stated Attorney General Pam Bondi. “Ridding your home medicine cabinets of unnecessary prescription drugs is one preventative measure everyone can take to prevent prescription drug abuse.”
This effort is organized by the Drug Enforcement Agency in conjunction with state and local law enforcement. Floridians can visit www.myfloridalegal.com and follow the Drug Take-Back Day banner to find participating locations.
