TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today released the following statement of condolence to the family, friends and colleagues of Miami-Dade Police Officer Giovanni Gonzalez who was killed early this morning in a vehicle accident:

“My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Gonzalez’s family, his fellow officers, and those who knew him as someone dedicated to public safety. Miami-Dade Police Department has lost a fine public servant.”
