Following the aftermath of Colin, I joined Governor Rick Scott in Tampa to thank law enforcement for their excellent service to Floridians in dealing with the tropical storm. I am grateful to all of our first responders for their dedication to protecting Floridians in the wake of this major storm, as well as each and every day.
As it is only the second week into this hurricane season and we have already experienced the landfall of a major storm, I urge Floridians to review my office’s 2016 Hurricane Preparedness Guide. This guide contains tips to prepare for a major storm, a supply checklist, warnings of potential storm-related scams and more. We cannot prevent hurricanes from hitting our state, but we can take precautions and plan ahead to prevent physical and financial harm.

The arrests include individuals from three separate organizations all using pharmacies set up for the specific purpose of defrauding the Medicare Part D Program.
“This was a complex scheme designed to defraud the Medicare program, hide the evidence and conceal the identities of those involved,” said Attorney General Bondi. “Thanks to the hard work of my Office of Statewide Prosecution and our local and federal partners, the targets of this investigation were arrested and the scheme stopped.” More.
