This week, I joined other Attorneys General from across the country and embarked on a trip to Israel to meet with Israeli officials. This trip is co-sponsored by the America-Israel Friendship League, the National Association of Attorneys General, and the State of Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State of Israel. The trip, which comes at no cost to taxpayers, is intended to facilitate a strong understanding of the Israeli government structure and historic relationship between the United States and Israel. While abroad, I will meet with Israeli officials and discuss social, economic and political issues relating to Israel and surrounding countries. I will also tour the Israeli Supreme Court and meet with Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein to discuss common interests in legal proceedings.
I am grateful to participate in this once in a lifetime experience and am honored to have the opportunity to meet with the leaders of Israel.
