As I shared with you on Wednesday, Florida and the 25 other states in our lawsuit challenging the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act filed a Petition for Writ of Certiorari asking the U.S. Supreme Court to review the decision of the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. This case is paramount in our history and will establish the boundaries of Congress' power as set forth in our Constitution.

Also on Wednesday, justice was finally served in the 1978 murder of Coral Gables Police Officer Louis Pena. The murderer, Manuel Valle, had been on death row for more than 30 years, and his sentence was finally carried out on Wednesday evening. My thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family.
