The Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency providing 24 hour coverage to the city.  The responsibilities of the Police Department include the enforcing of all State of Florida Laws, City of Longwood Ordinances, and protecting the lives and property of the Longwood residents.

The Police Department is comprised of numerous specialized units, which enables it to accomplish it's mission.
The Patrol Division, Traffic Division, Criminal Investigation Division, and Community Relations Unit, coordinate their efforts to provide the prompt and complete service the residents and businesses in the City of Longwood require from the Police Department.
