Attorney-Criminal Appeals Anticipated Vacancy - This position is an anticipated vacancy for July 1, 2012, and will be filled after that date. The anticipated starting salary range is $39,000 - $45,000. Position may be filled at the minimum of the starting range. Preference will be given to those candidates who are members of the Florida Bar. Preference will also be given to those candidates with criminal and/or appellate experience. Preference will be given to persons who have participated in an internship or worked as attorney or in any State Attorney's Office Public Defender's Office, Attorney General's office or as a judicial law clerk or staff attorney. This position requires a background investigation including fingerprinting, pursuant to s. 110.1127(1), F.S. Submission of a State of Florida employment application required for all Career Service positions.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association. SPECIAL NOTE: Must become a member of the Florida Bar within 12 months of appointment to a position in this class.
