I'm Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum.

Yesterday, my Office of Statewide Prosecution won a huge victory for our state in the fight against violent criminal gangs. Two brothers who were members of a dangerous North Florida gang were convicted by a jury for criminal racketeering. 

One will face up to 60 years in prison and the other will face up to 90 years when they are sentenced next month. Five other members still face charges.

The case exemplifies the serious threat gangs pose to every part of our state – large cities and smaller communities alike. Only through statewide cooperation are we able to reclaim our state from these dangerous criminals.
