Attorney General's Weekly Newsletter

This week I had the distinct pleasure of attending the Commission on the Status of Women's first Conference for Women in Orlando. I am so pleased that the Commission has taken on this effort to allow women throughout the state a venue to network and access a wealth of good information on topics that impact their daily lives.

In this economy, it is more important than ever that we take the opportunities to unite and work together for a common goal. The Conference for Women provided a unique opportunity for the women in attendance to participate in a career fair and to exchange ideas on how to best promote themselves in the current job market.

I am extremely proud to have the honor of housing the Commission on the Status of Women in my office and commend them on a memorable, successful conference which is sure to be the beginning of a rich Florida tradition. I look forward to the next Conference with sincere anticipation.
